THE SWEET MOUNT ROYAL HOUSE

Fantastic stay for our last minute family vaca to Asheville. Property is within a short drive to downtown, sliding rock, & chimney rock and only a few minutes from grocery stores. Well equipped for our adult family of 6. The peaceful mornings watching the cardinals and chipmunks with the mountain view was definitely a favorite. Kris was extremely helpful and had great communication leading up to and throughout our stay. Would definitely return!

  Charming home with view of the mountains makes you feel like you're in the wilderness yet it's close to Asheville. The house was spacious enough for five of us to spread out and have private space. Beds are comfortable and kitchen well equipped for cooking meals. I enjoyed reading on the screened porch while listening to birds and crickets. There are two fire pits at the house and plenty of firewood but we never got a chance to use them. Easy drive to downtown Asheville and very close to the Biltmore estate. It's also central to countless hiking trails, waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The town of Arden has several wonderful restaurants as well as three grocery stores. We couldn't have picked a better spot! The owner, Kristen, was so friendly and helpful throughout the reservation and stay. I highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful experience, the property is very nice - clean, spacious, each room a good size, bathrooms renovated, location convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville making easy day trips to both multiple times. One of the best features is the screened in porch, we spent most of our time sitting out there enjoying bug free mountain air, loved every moment!

The new driveway has flat parking at the top at the house now and we found it no problem to navigate with a Subaru and a small SUV.

Communication with the host was top notch, anything we needed was quickly responded to. I’d happily stay here again or any property she hosts!

The house has absolutely GORGEOUS views! Everything was super clean and well taken care of, the owner was super easy to get in touch with and I can’t say enough good things about it. We will for sure be back. 10/10!

Loved our stay. Plenty of room for all. Kris is a great host and offers lots of info to help you plan your visit to Asheville. We loved the screened in porch. She even had a great bottle of wine waiting when we arrived!

  THE OLIVE HOUSE

First of all, the owner was FANTASTIC to deal With! She could not have been any nicer and was very easy to talk to. Felt like I knew her!

Upon arrival we had a wonderful bottle of wine and some snacks awaiting us!

The master shower was OUTSTANDING! Heaven on earth! Both beds were comfy, the king sized was the most comfy. Maybe a mattress topper on the queen would help a tad, but still comfy either way.

I have nothing negative to say, just some suggestions. Some suggestions I have would be to completely fence in the yard since it’s dog friendly and maybe have some Tupperware there for leftovers after cooking, etc. of course we had our Christmas dinner there, so we needed Tupperware….others may not ever need it.

Other than that, all was fantastic! We did not get to utilize the fire pit b/c it was -degree temps, but it was cute and quaint and inviting.

Trust me, you will LOVE the Olive House! Quaint, cute, and just what the doctor ordered!

My sister and I just spent a great week in NC staying at The Olive House. This was my first Vrbo; I was a bit apprehensive as I am a Marriott / Hilton girl. The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated. It had every amenity we could need. The wrap around deck was the best to sit out in the am w/ our coffee. Very quiet area that is a short drive to Asheville. The host’s “Welcome Book” offered so much info for the area; 2 of our easy hikes were from the “Book”. Kris (host) was very helpful when I asked about recommendations for the area. Will definitely return on a future NC trip. 5 stars!

  THE OLIVE HOUSE

My husband and I just LOVE the Olive House! We have stayed there twice now (2 weeks back in June) and it really is a home away from home! Kris and Tom do such a great job making sure every detail is taken care for their guests and they were always available if we needed anything or had any questions. When you check-in, there is a full book of activities/restaurants and many other fun places to check out during your visit! So helpful when you are new to the area and need the local knowledge! I would highly recommend staying at this adorable little house and I look forward to booking it again at some point down the road! :)

  THE LITTLE YELLOW COTTAGE

We had a wonderful stay at the yellow cottage with our pup Scout. We were welcomed by a handwritten chalkboard note, a bottle of Biltmore wine and doggie treats. The cottage was quiet, very clean and the perfect size for the three of us! We especially loved having cocktails on the back porch and made s’mores over the fire pit. Communication was great with Kris, which is a plus in my book!!

The LYC was perfect for my sister’s wedding weekend! It was minutes away from the venue, tucked into the mountain but still very accessible. I felt at-home as soon as I walked through the door. It was the perfect place to lay my head each night after each day’s wedding activities. The cottage was very cozy, and also stocked with little odds & ends that came in handy. I was there for almost a week, and truly wish I’d had more time there. If I’m ever in Asheville again, I will absolutely be checking to see if it’s available!!

Such a cute little place! The Biltmore wine and welcome message was a very kind gesture as well :) Everything was as described, very clean and well appointed. Check-in was super easy and Kris was a very responsive and helpful host! The neighborhood was quiet and easy to navigate through. Location is perfect...away from the hustle and bustle of downtown just enough, and yet only a ten minute drive to get there when the mood strikes. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area :) Thank you!
